Variations
Our recipe is a basic version of havregrynskugler – but there are so many ways you can put your own spin on it! We like to roll our havregrynskugler in coconut flakes, because it just adds another great element of both flavor and texture. Feel free to roll them in dried fruit, chopped nuts, cocoa powder, sprinkles, etc. You can also add other essences if you prefer something other than vanilla, such as almond, orange, or other flavors!
Tips & Tricks
We use rolled oats because we like the texture, but instant oats would give a smoother consistency to the havregrynskugler. This recipe is super adaptable, so it is up to you! The best part about them is that they require no baking, so they are truly so easy. You just mix together the ingredients and shape them, then they are ready to eat. This could also be a nice project for kids, who usually find the havregrynskugler fun to shape and super yummy! We hope you make them – happy baking!
