About a year ago, we created a recipe for the blog called “hyggeboller” (you can find the recipe here). They were inspired by a recipe I found in an old Danish cookbook, called “Vi Bager” by Hanne Flensborg Thomsen.
Today’s blog post is in our “For Your Next” series, which gives you menu ideas for events in your life. As we are a couple of weeks into autumn already, we thought the best theme for this menu was an autumn event!
As we have mentioned on our About Us page, as well as countless other times on this blog, we were born in Denmark but moved away when we were 5 and 8. That’s why today’s recipe is a fun crossover, just like us!
It’s nearing the end of July and that means plenty of hot summer days and warm summer nights, at least here in the Northern hemisphere! I (Emma) am back in the US for a few weeks, and summertime here is significantly warmer than in the UK.
It’s so hard to believe it’s already mid-June and summer is in full swing, at least where we are! When the weather is nice and sunny, like it has been recently, we love to eat dinner outside as much as we possibly can.
Over Christmas, I traveled to Denmark to visit my grandmother and extended family. While I was there, I took a peek in a couple of old cookbooks to get some ideas for new Skandibaking recipes.
Summer is here, and we are constantly on the hunt for delicious and light summer recipes. Today’s is for a sommer madtærte, or summer quiche.
There have been lots of holidays over the past few days – Lunar New Year, Valentine’s Day, Fastelavn – so whatever you celebrate, we hope it was a good one!
