As you may have guessed by now, we are by no means professional bakers. We have always just enjoyed baking at home for family and friends, and now, for all of you too! However, despite not having any professional experience, we have tons of home baking experience.
Hi everyone! As the weather starts to warm up, at least in the US and the UK, we are starting to look forward to spending more time outside. In places like Scandinavia, where winters can feel very long and dark, the summer means spending time outside and enjoying the long hours of daylight.
In addition to running this blog and Skandibaking’s social media, Sofie and I also both work other jobs, so we tend to be super busy most of the time. But we absolutely love to cook and bake, and we love to do this even outside of developing recipes for Skandibaking.
One of my favorite things to do growing up in America was introducing my American friends to Danish black licorice candy. I loved to offer them a taste and then watch their faces pucker up in horror as they realized what they thought was going to be sugary sweet was actually salty and sometimes even spicy.
