This recipe is a follow-up to the classic raspberry roulade recipe we posted recently. As we were making that roulade, we thought, why not change it up a bit?
Honningkage, or honey cake, is a cake that originated in the south of Denmark in the 18th century. It is largely associated with Christmas, containing all the spices and flavors of the holiday season.
As the fall weather is starting to creep in, we’ve been finding ourselves craving all the warm, autumnal flavors and this æblekage is one that brings us lots of comfort!
