Now that it’s almost August, we are enjoying long days of daylight and plenty of sunshine. It’s no wonder that many people enjoy eating dinners outside surrounded by friends, cold drinks, and delicious food!
It’s nearing the end of July and that means plenty of hot summer days and warm summer nights, at least here in the Northern hemisphere! I (Emma) am back in the US for a few weeks, and summertime here is significantly warmer than in the UK.
As summer rolls on, we are really enjoying making seasonal treats to enjoy on warm sunny days. Whether it’s a cooler summer morning, a warm and sunny summer afternoon, or a relaxing summer evening, a piece of cake or a pastry will always add even more joy to the already cheerful ambience.
It’s nearing the end of June, and in Scandinavia, that can only mean one thing – midsummer! To clarify, midsummer is a term I am using here to include a lot of the summer festivities that take place around this time of year.
It’s mid-May and the weather is slowly starting to get warmer here in America and the UK. I think that it is a simple fact that when the sun comes out, we all start to crave ice cream.

Hi everyone! As the weather starts to warm up, at least in the US and the UK, we are starting to look forward to spending more time outside. In places like Scandinavia, where winters can feel very long and dark, the summer means spending time outside and enjoying the long hours of daylight.
