I firmly believe that a good slice, loaf, roll, etc. of bread has the power to change your entire day. That’s why starting the morning with freshly baked bread is unbeatable and sets you up perfectly for the day ahead.
Life has been full of lots of changes recently. I (Emma) just moved to the UK after living at home for a year and a half and it has definitely been a huge adjustment.
Any Dane reading our translation of this cake as “Raspberry Meringue Cake” will probably chuckle a bit. That’s because it’s not at all what the Danish means. Really, this cake should be called “Grandfather’s Beard.”
Happy August everyone! It’s crazy to think that the summer is nearly over, but there’s still a month left to enjoy what’s left! And this is a great summery recipe.
Fluffy, freshly baked rolls fresh out of the oven. Cut in half and topped with any of the following: butter, jam, cheese, Nutella, peanut butter, etc. Need I say more?
Personally, I won’t ever get enough of developing recipes for bread rolls. They’re so fun to make and the variations are endless! Today’s recipe is for chokoladeboller, or chocolate rolls.
Coming up this Friday, April 30th is a Danish holiday called “Store Bededag” or “Great Prayer Day.” It is celebrated on the fourth Friday after Easter.
I think we’ve mentioned plenty of times on this blog how much we love bread. It’s just one of the best things in the world! And once you get the hang of making it yourself, store-bought bread is never quite as good.
