This is a dish we grew up eating at our grandmother’s house in Denmark on our summer vacations. Personally, I didn’t warm up to the idea of parsley sauce until later in life, but my siblings were always on board.
We may be a baking blog, but that doesn’t stop us from sharing recipes that we love, whether or not they go in the oven. And now that we’ve talked lots about how summer calls for ice cream, we must admit that above all else, it calls for cold drinks!
Danish, generally, is a very hard language to learn. It has a lot of unique sounds and letters, as you can tell by the name of this recipe!
Growing up, we used to spend most of our summer breaks back in Denmark. And in our minds, nothing quite compares to a summer spent by the water up in the northwestern part of Sjælland, where we grew up.
As you can probably tell by looking through our website, even if just briefly, we’re Danish and American. So of course, most of our recipes are our take on Danish baked goods.
Chocolate cake is undoubtedly one of the greatest inventions in the world. Chocolate anything, really. And actually, we don’t have all that many recipes that involve chocolate, so we are super excited for this one!
