These rich, chocolatey truffles are perfect for any occasion. With a slight rum flavor, they are sweetened by the added cake and jam. Such a simple recipe, with an amazing result!

Ingredients

  • 300 grams pound cake, leftover cake, muffins, or soft cookies
  • 100 grams dark chocolate, melted
  • 15 grams unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tbsp jam
  • 1.5 tbsp rum
  • Unsweeted coconut flakes for rolling

Instructions

  • Crumble the pound cake/leftover cake into a medium bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer.
    Breaking up cake into crumbs.
  • Add the melted chocolate, cocoa powder, jam, and rum to the cake crumbs.
    Adding chocolate to the crumbs.
  • Mix until a paste or sticky dough forms, either using a rubber spatula or the paddle attachment on the stand mixer.

  • Shape the dough into balls with your hands.

  • Roll the balls in shredded coconut - you can also use sprinkles, cocoa powder, or anything else you'd like!
