Ingredients

  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp butter (for cooking)
  • 225 grams sour cream
  • 115 grams cream cheese, softened
  • 4 tbsp chopped fresh dill
  • 4 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Make sure your cream cheese is softened so it's easier to mix in with the other ingredients!
  • Prep the onion by peeling and finely chopping.
  • Add your butter to a pan and cook your onion over medium heat until caramelized and lightly brown, about 15 minutes. Add water to the bottom of the pan if needed as cooking to soften them quickly. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Meanwhile, wash and chop the dill and parsley.
  • Add sour cream and cream cheese to a mixing bowl. Whisk together if needed, but usually we just mix it with a spoon to combine.
  • Add in dill, parsley, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt and pepper to the sour cream mixture.
  • Mix together well.
  • Add in onions and mix again.
  • Refrigerate if not serving immediately. Enjoy!
