Ingredients

(we use large mugs for this, so you can cut this down to two cups for smaller mugs!)

vanilla paste or vanilla extract

(1/2 cup) chopped chocolate/chocolate chips
(we prefer using dark chocolate for this, but use whatever you prefer!)
TOPPING

heavy whipping cream

Instructions
If adding whipped cream to the top, whip the heavy cream with a dash of cardamom and a bit of sugar to your preferred stiffness.
Combine milk, sugar, salt, vanilla, and cardamom pods in a small pot on the stove. Whisk to combine.
Heat on very low heat to infuse the milk with the cardamom pods. Let it heat very slowly for at least ten minutes to infuse the flavor!
After 10-15 minutes, remove the cardamom pods, and turn the heat up a little bit more if needed. It should be warm but not scalding hot.
Once the mixture has come up to a warmer temperature, add in the chopped chocolate or chocolate chips and whisk until everything is fully combined.
Divide evenly between two mugs and top with cardamom whipped cream. Enjoy!
