For us, the taste of raspberries brings back countless wonderful memories. We used to pick raspberries in the woods in Denmark with our morfar (grandfather), wearing long sleeves and long pants so we didn’t get pricked by thorns or stung by stinging nettles.
If you ask us, there is nothing better in a dish than fresh flavors and vibrant colors. As they say, you eat with your eyes first! Of course, not every dish is going to look perfect.
Pavlova tends to be classified as a summer dessert. Why? Well, we love to top it with berries, which are at their ripest and most delicious in the summertime.
One of my goals for 2023 has been to do some more reading. It has certainly been a challenge, as sometimes the last thing I want to do is pick up a book at the end of the day.
If you have been on this blog in the spring or summer over the past couple of years, you will know by now that we love rhubarb. It is a favorite flavor of ours for refreshing summer desserts.
It’s May now, which means that despite the ongoing rain and cool weather here in the UK, spring is really here!
At least here in the UK, we got a nice taste of spring over this past Easter weekend. It was beautifully sunny but still cool enough for a light jacket, or what I call the most perfect temperature that exists.
It is April now, which means that Easter is right around the corner, as is spring. We are so
excited to be coming out of the darkness of winter, which this year has seemed particularly
long.
